One month
If anyone is still reading, or checking in to see just how long I will go without posting, I'm still here, but am probably not going to start back up posting regularly until next week.
It's been a fun month though! I've always found that when I'm really busy that I have to plan ahead with my time, and I end up getting more done! So in between all the work (yes, I'm still going up to the old job), I've had the opportunity to go for a few runs without the baby or dog (it was wonderful not pushing the stroller and trying to hold on to the dog's leash!), meet up with friends for some fun playdates, bake a lot of breads for J to eat (he's not big on eating, but will eat anything disguised in bread - we've done banana, blueberry, sweet potato, zucchini, and carrot pineapple - I make it with very little sugar, whole wheat flour, and wheat germ so it's really good for him and makes me feel better about his diet of grapes, cheese, and bread. Oh, and cookies. He loves cookies, even more than I do!).
I also discovered that a nearby pool, that has the best toddler area (water swings, slides, teeter-totter, splash and spray area, etc) is open to nonresidents in the mornings for "toddler time" - and its only $4! I had been feeling sorry for J all summer that we didn't live in a neighborhood that had a pool, but about two weeks we discovered this play time and we have been loving the pool!
Husband and I are getting ready for a trip, just the two of us, in three weeks. We're going back to one of the islands where we spent part of our honeymoon, and I'm really looking forward to it. It will be hard to be away from J - I've only spent two nights away from him since he's been born, and we've never both left at the same time - but we really need a vacation together. My parents are coming up to stay with him while we're gone, and I know they'll take good care of him.
anyway, thanks for hanging in there if you've still been checking lately, and I'll be back on a more regular basis soon!

Wow, that pool sounds awesome. We go to my grandparents' pool once a week, but it's just your standard pool, and the only extra they have is a diving board. Have fun on your trip if we don't "see" you before then.

How fun! I know what you mean--I'm dreading leaving Jenna when we go to Hawaii in 3 months, but I am really excited about going.
I really want to know how you make all those different types of breads. Do you have recipes for them? Jenna is getting PICKY and that's a good idea.

The bread thing is such a great idea! I need to try that.
And, have a great time on your trip! I really, really want to take a "couples trip," but we need to find the time and the childcare. I feel bad asking our parents to watch our 1 and 2 year old for an extended period of time, but I should just suck it up and do it!
